Police, K-9 bust man for 8 pounds of dope, $2,500 cash

Madison police announced Thursday Diego Castillo-Cruz, who was arrested in early March, was charged with possession of more than 8 pounds of marijuana and intent to deliver. 

 

According to police, Castillo-Cruz, 31, of Madison was pulled over by an officer at the intersection of Park Street and Badger Road just south of the Beltline on March 12. At the time, Castillo-Cruz was arrested for an OWI and following the arrest, police searched Castillo-Cruz's vehicle. 

 

Police said they found more than 8 pounds of marijuana and $2,500 cash inside the suspected vehicle. The officer on the scene reportedly used the help of ""Greg,"" his K-9 partner.
