Madison police said a 47-year-old man was battered and robbed last Tuesday in the Walgreen's parking lot at 2121 S. Park St.
The victim, according to police, was trying to find a parking space and accidentally hit another vehicle. The suspect was the driver of the other vehicle. He and the 47-year-old exchanged words and then another man—an apparent friend to the suspect—entered in the conflict.
Police reported the victim did not have insurance and the two men wanted ""something"" from the victim because he hit the car. When the victim did not comply, the two men started to hit the older man. The victim reportedly suffered more than 15 blows to the head as a result of the incident.
Also, police said the two attackers are both black males in their early 20s. Police noted the victim had his cell phone taken from him. The victim also reported he nearly lost his walking stick but was able to retain it and not allow the suspects to beat him with it.
