COLUMBUS, Ohio—Back on the road, The Fan Hunter found a familiar face. Wedged between 19,000 Ohio State fans, Cody ""Bizzle"" Sulzer was one of very few Badger fans to brave the harsh weekend and make it to Columbus for the showdown between two No. 1 teams.
We first found Bizzle in Iowa City where UW topped Iowa 57-46 Jan. 28. This time the UW-Madison senior was with another roommate, fellow senior Anil ""Darkness"" Bhatoya.
""We managed to score these tickets from [UW junior guard] Tanner Bronson Thursday and there was no way we were going to let the weather stop us from getting here,"" Bizzle said.
Unfortunately this road trip did not end as happily as the one to Iowa City as Wisconsin fell to Ohio State 49-48 when OSU freshman guard Mike Conley Jr. hit a runner with 3.9 seconds remaining.
""That shot was as lucky as it gets,"" Bizzle said while drowning his sorrows at a Damon's Bar and Grille just blocks away from the Schottenstein Center in Columbus. ""I can't believe we let that little dude beat us. I'm only like 5'9\ but if I was out there I would have blocked him and yelled, ‘FACE!'''
Bizzle added that the ride home was going to be a long one, but he would get over it by blaming the loss on Darkness who grew up an Ohio State fan.
""Florida whooped their ass in football, and we'll do the same in the Big Ten Tournament and then again in the NCAA Championship,"" Bizzle said.
