Q: It seems like Wisconsin isn't getting to the line as much. Why is this?
A: The Badgers shot only six free throws Sunday, converting three of them. In Tuesday's loss at Michigan State they went 8-of-12 from the free throw line. In short, more opponents are going with a zone defense and Wisconsin has been reluctant to attack the paint.?
""I wish I could tell you,"" Taylor said Sunday when asked why UW is not getting to the line. ""They are double and triple teaming our bigs, especially Tucker, so that is forcing us to settle for outside jump shots so we aren't getting to the free throw line as much.""?
The 18 combined free throw attempts last week are in no way comparable to the season as a whole as Wisconsin has outscored its opponents by 213 from the line this year.
