Q: Was the tape on senior forward Alando Tucker's hand affecting his shooting the last few weeks?
A: You may have noticed that Tucker did not have his thumb taped against Iowa Sunday and the senior forward converted 11-of-14 field goals en route to 27 points.
Including the Northwestern game in which Tucker tweaked the thumb, he shot a combined 21-of-49 in the four games before the victory over Iowa.
""I was telling [assistant coach Gary] Close, who I shoot with after practice, that it felt a lot better with [the tape] off,"" Tucker said Monday. ""It was just my confidence was a lot better because I can actually follow through a lot better on my shot.""
