Drink of the Week

1.5 oz. vodka

.5 oz. Kahlua

Pour vodka and Kahlua into an ice-filled rocks glass. Stir and serve.

A delicious specimen of the sipping drink, the Black Russian will put a furnace in your belly that will dull even the chilliest temperature, most appropriately referred to as ""Siberian"" for our purposes.

The Black Russian is very adjustable, so fudging the portions is encouraged. Mix with a high-end vodka, but if you have to bust out a rail, go a little heavier on the Kahlua. Note, however, that too much Kahlua can leave this drink syrupy and sickeningly sweet. Best leave Mr. Boston to his own devices and spend the extra $15.

Pour in a highball glass, add cream and you have a White Russian. Substituting brandy for vodka will yield a Dirty Mother, which becomes a Dirty White Mother with the right amount of cream.

Be sure to toast Cossacks and Peter the Great.
