Iowa vs. Texas
Dec. 30, 2006, 3:30 p.m.
There is certainly no question of who will win this match. Despite a quick 4-0 start, Iowa dropped six of its last eight games of the season, including an embarrassing loss that put a hapless Minnesota team into a bowl. Texas finished the year on a skid as well, losing the last two games they played. However, the Longhorns' final game was lost primarily because Texas A&M stepped up their level of play, not because Texas let their guard down. Colt McCoy has been hitting his targets more than 68 percent of the time and has thrown for 2,200 yards and 27 touchdowns on the season. Iowa's Drew Tate has 12 interceptions and a lack of help from his receivers. Texas should have this one in the bag.
Final score: Texas 31, Iowa 14
