UW-Madison alumus and producer of Comedy Central's ""The Daily Show"" and ""The Colbert Report"" Ben Karlin will send off seniors graduating in December, the university announced Wednesday.
Karlin is slated to speak at the winter graduation commencement ceremonies at the Kohl Center Dec. 17. He will first address upper-level graduates at 10 a.m. before speaking to undergraduates at 2 p.m.
Karlin has maintained close ties to the campus since his 1993 graduation. He was featured in the Distinguished Lecture Series in early 2006 and recently appeared in a video on behalf of the Student Union Initiative promoting the renovation of Memorial Union and rebuilding of Union South.
Karlin announced Nov. 30 that he would leave Comedy Central at the end of the year to pursue other creative projects.
