Madison police have arrested one man in connection with a murder Saturday night on the city's west side.
Eric Wells, 48, was taken into custody Sunday night after being arrested several blocks from the crime scene.
Police have not said whether Wells will be charged with the killing of Saturday's homicide victim. Officers found the man lying incapacitated on the street at 5:30 Saturday night after responding to reports of an injury. He was later pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.
According to court records, Wells has twice pleaded guilty to armed robbery along with arrests for disorderly conduct and theft.
