Lake Street chase leads to arrests near Mills, Fahrenbrook

Police arrested two Madison residents who led them on a brief vehicle chase and foot chase near North Lake Street Wednesday night.  

 

Police attempted to pull over a car driven by Jimmy Chaney shortly after 11 p.m. Wednesday night for driving without his headlights on, according to Madison police reports. Chaney eventually stopped near Climber Place before fleeing the car. Police arrested him behind a building near the intersection of Fahrenbrook Court and Mills Street.  

 

Police also arrested Lisa Smith, who sat in the passenger seat of her car during the ordeal, charging her with carrying a concealed weapon for a ""makeshift club"" they found under her seat.
