Last week, Dane County Executive Kathleen Falk conceded to Attorney General elect J.B. Van Hollen.
Falk's concession came two weeks after the Nov. 7 election. The state Elections Board initiated a recount. These official numbers from the Board will be released Dec. 1.
Unofficial vote tallies indicated Van Hollen's victory with 50.2 percent to Falk's 49.8 percent. Falk trailed by approximately 9,100 votes out of the 2.1 million cast, but said she would wait until official canvass results were made by the SEB.
Though the numbers were different, they did not change drastically enough to alter the ultimate result, Falk said in a statement.
""I do not intend to ask for a recount. I have called J.B. Van Hollen to congratulate him and to wish him well in his service to our great state,"" she said. ""I'm grateful for the support I received from citizens throughout the state.""
