Two UW-Madison students are facing felony charges after spraying fellow dorm residents in University House Towers, 502 N. Frances St., with fire extinguishers on Sunday, Sept. 24.
Andrew Goldemberg, 19, and Daniel Lindholm, 20, each face six counts of criminal damage to property, as well as counts of criminal trespassing and interference with firefighting equipment.
Goldemberg and Lindholm allegedly began spraying each other with fire extinguishers on the 10th floor of the Towers before moving to the ninth floor. Once on the ninth floor, the two began opening unlocked doors and shooting the fire extinguishers at fellow students, according to the criminal complaint.
If a door was unlocked they went into the room and sprayed,"" the complaint said.
Building managers at the Towers spent over $6,000 cleaning fire extinguisher powder from hallways and dorm rooms and total damages ran over $20,000.
Goldemberg and Lindholm will make their initial court appearances Thursday.
