The recent rash of muggings continued Thursday morning when a 23-year-old was held up on the 400 block of South Brooks Street at 1 a.m.
According to the police report, the victim was walking down Brooks Street when a suspect described as a 20 to 25-year-old black woman wearing dark clothing stopped him to ask for directions to State Street.
While he was responding, two other male suspects surrounded him and pushed him to the ground. One of them pinned his head to the ground with a stick, and he received one kick as he lay helpless. The suspects demanded money.
