Ald. Mike Verveer, District 4, will host a student meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday to discuss a possible high-rise apartment development on the 300 block of North Bassett Street.
The apartment building would replace Casa Bianca, 333 N. Bassett St., and Milio's, 454 W. Johnson St., as well as several student-occupied houses.
Verveer said the meeting, which will be held at the Doubletree Hotel, 525 W. Johnson St., is crucial for students who want to know about the proposed apartment project.
A Halloween town hall meeting Verveer organized along with Ald. Austin King, District 8, attracted only about 50 students. Still, Verveer said he hopes ""lots of students"" attend.
