A sex offender serving time at Dane County Jail escaped Wednesday and is at large.
Dylan T. Brooks was temporarily released to attend a medical appointment on East Washington Avenue, according to a press release. He attended the appointment, but did not return to custody and was subsequently declared AWOL.
The 26-year-old Brooks was in the middle of serving an eight-month sentence. He is six feet tall and weighs 165 pounds. He has brown hair and blue eyes and has a tattoo of a cross on his right leg. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact authorities.
