A beer sporting a cartoon moose drinking—and backwashing—in a lake is hard to take seriously. Harder still is taking that beer seriously when it plays up that graphic.
Moose Drool begged to be panned with all the strength of the northern lights in January. But, while many similar beers would be perfectly happy to rely on their hook and kitsch, Big Sky Country's signature brown ale goes above and beyond the call of brewery.
Overwhelmingly bitter when it first hits your tongue, Moose Drool quickly lightens to a subtle and smooth flavor normally reserved only for the palest of ales. The aftertaste dissipates all too quickly leaving only its pleasant memory to linger. Moose Drool makes a wonderful training beer for those morally opposed to the dark side of ale.
This beer will teach it's buyer to never again judge a moose by its cover.
