The owners of Club Majestic, 115 King St., have filed an appeal of the city's strict new limits on the club's liquor license.
Nick and Jim Schiavo have also put the club up for sale in the midst of steady violence outside its front doors and a recent brawl inside the building.
The city's Alcohol License Review Committee will take up the Schiavo's appeal in coming weeks. According to Ald. Mike Verveer, District 4, a member of the committee, the Schiavo's have failed to control the atmosphere in and around their club. Verveer said a sale of the club would likely result in the city dropping its restrictions on the liquor license.
