Madison Urban Outfitter's customer outwitted by Urban Outfitter's T-shirt

UW-Madison sophomore Kevin Trez met his match during a shopping excursion on State Street March 26 after he failed to understand a witty joke on an Urban Outfitters T-shirt.

Accompanied by his girlfriend, Beth Hanber, Trez shopped at Steve & Barry's, 636 State St., but quickly went next door to Urban Outfitters, 604 State St. Approximately 15 minutes after entering the store, Trez left Hanber's side to look at graphic T-shirts.

Trez said he had to get away\ because Hanber was trying to decide between three pairs of gaucho pants she claimed were sandstone, wheat and light coffee.

""They're tan, all of ‘em. I couldn't tell the difference!"" Trez said. ""That's when I came across this shirt that didn't make sense,"" he continued. ""All it said was ‘Dikfore.' I mean, what's that? What's a Dikfore?!?""

Turning to an Urban employee folding shirts nearby, Trez proceeded to ask the worker the meaning of the shirt.

""At first she looked at me kinda angry, but when I pointed out the shirt, [the employee] sort of half-laughed and asked if I was serious. I told her I was as my girlfriend walked over, and that [employee] just put her hand on [Beth's] shoulder and said ‘I'm sorry' and walked off,"" Trez said.

Kevin explained the situation to his girlfriend who reportedly laughed and suggested he just be happy she was not in love with him for his large brain.

According to Urban employee Rachel Suny, as the couple left the store, Trez yelled, ""Damnit, is it that bad? I don't know what a Dikfore is! There, I said it.""
