Electronic Data Systems seems like a phantom company. It is a company that many do not remember, or even know its purpose. This could be because its Super Bowl commercials usually involve small, cute animals that are the only part anyone remembers.
In 2000, EDS presented a memorable commercial about cat herding, and in 2001 they offered another, replacing lumbering bulls with stampeding squirrels. The ad is a joy to watch and presents both first-time 'squirrel runners' who offer their suggestions of how to survive a run with the critters, and veterans who dwell on their lost friends. Also, a squirrel mauling is much easier to laugh at and stomach than watching a guy get mauled by a huge bull. Does this commercial help audiences figure out what EDS does and do they remember the company? No, but it sure is fun to watch.
