President Bush and Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry continued their heavy campaigning in Wisconsin Tuesday, as Kerry delivered remarks in Green Bay, and Bush spoke to residents of Richland Center.
Rallying at the UW-Green Bay campus, Kerry said Americans face a \choice of a lifetime"" Nov. 2 when they head to the polls. He said he will lead a tougher war on terror if he becomes president, something he said Bush has failed to do.
""I will never give any other nation or organization a veto over our national security,"" he said. ""But I will never forget ... that America is stronger, our troops are safer, and success is more certain when we build and lead strong alliances, not when we go it alone.""
In Richland Center, Bush promoted his tax cuts and promised to keep taxes low in his second term. He also said he will ensure that American seniors will have access to Social Security.
""They said in the last election that if George W. was elected the seniors would no longer get their checks,"" he said, according to WisPolitics. ""Well, I was elected, and the seniors are getting their checks.""
