The university is beginning to ticket and tow unlicensed mopeds, according to a university statement.
State law requires proof of registration, such as a license plate, must be attached to a moped, as it is considered a motor vehicle. UW System policy gives the university the authority to tow vehicles in violation of the law.
Tickets can range in price from $75-$115, depending on the violation.
Police arrested two brothers in the shooting deaths of two college students at a tailgate party before a North Carolina State University football game Saturday, according to CNN.com.
Police identified the victims as Kevin McCann, 23, and Marine 2nd Lt. Brett Johnson Harman, 23. Witnesses said a fistfight preceded the shootings, after two men drove into a parking lot recklessly. The two men in the car were later identified as Tony Harrell Johnson, 20, and Timothy Wayne Johnson, 22.
After the victims pulled one suspect out of the car and pushed his head into the dirt, the other suspect got out of the car and returned with a gun, according to witnesses. Witnesses said they heard gunshots a short time after.
Timothy Johnson's appearance in court is scheduled for today. Information on Tony Johnson's appearance is not yet available, according to CNN.com.
