The first round of the Western Collegiate Hockey Association playoffs has arrived with each team taking part in a best-of-three series this weekend.
North Dakota is the top seed in this year's playoffs, but the WCHA regular season champion has gone on to win the playoffs just twice in the past 10 seasons.
This year, all but one of the first round matchups feature teams that have played each other within the past two weeks.
