Lawton, Doyle unite as Dems

The Democratic gubernatorial ticket will be united, despite some differences between the number top two positions. 

 

 

 

The gubernatorial and Lt. Governor Democratic candidates, State Attorney General Jim Doyle and Barbara Lawton, respectively, appeared together Thursday for the first time since Tuesday's primary at the steps of the Capitol.  

 

 

 

\Barbara and I may not agree about every issue,"" Doyle said. ""But we do agree on the basic premise of this campaign'that the government is in need of fundamental change."" 

 

 

 

Lawton must adjust to working with Doyle's campaign advisor, Bill Christofferson, who ran the campaign of state Sen. Kevin Shibilski, D-Stevens Point, her opponents in the primary.
