Food service on hold at pavilion after E.coli

The UW-Madison Stock Pavilion will not host events where food is served until the floor is replaced. This, in reaction to an E.coli bacterium outbreak Oct. 6 at a pancake breakfast before the Wisconsin-Indiana football game.

Due to the recent budget problems, it is unknown when the new concrete floor will be installed since it is expected to cost more than $100,000.

When complete, it will allow the Pavilion to be used for classes and events involving animals and gatherings of other sorts where food may be served. It will be disinfected regularly and tested through microbiological sampling to ensure that it is sanitary.
