Three-hundred UW-Madison students and Dane County community members took part in a peace parade Saturday, marching nearly a mile from Madison Area Technical College to Madison's Truax Field.
The rally was organized by the Madison Area Peace Coalition, a group formed Sept. 25 in response to what members deemed an escalating cycle of violence following the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks,
Protesters donned signs, banners and life-sized puppets during their march.
