Badgerball upsets Huskies
The Wisconsin women's basketball team built a 10-point halftime lead and withstood a Washington rally midway through the second half to upset the No. 19 ranked Huskies 87-67 Sunday afternoon.
Senior center Jessie Stomski tallied 22 points and 13 rebounds to pace the Badgers.

Men's basketball loses opener
The Wisconsin men's basketball team opened its 2001-'02 season with a 74-69 loss to the UNLV Running Rebels at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nev.
The Running Rebels raced out to a 13-1 lead and UW could never get closer than four the rest of the way.
Freshman guard Devin Harris poured in 20 points to lead the Badgers.
The Badgers are off to Hilo, Hawaii, to participate in the Big Island Basketball Invitational. Wisconsin plays host Hawaii-Hilo Friday at 11:30 p.m. CST.
Volleyball one win from title
The sixth-ranked Badger volleyball team clinched a share of the Big Ten Conference Championship with a weekend sweep of rivals Iowa and Minnesota.
