Madison police are searching for a suspect after a shooting occurred at a local radio station early Sunday morning.
According to WORT’s Facebook page, a man wearing a hood and mask entered the station around 3 a.m. and fired five shots at three DJs in the broadcast studio. One DJ was hit and taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The station went off the air for over six hours while police investigated but returned to the air shortly after 9:30 Sunday morning.
Police do not believe the incident to be random and say that there is no risk to the public. They have not yet identified a suspect.
