Men's tennis: Wisconsin Badgers face struggling Michigan State Spartans; face huge test against Michigan Wolverines

This weekend the Badgers head East to Michigan to face off against the Spartans on Saturday and the Wolverines on Sunday. Coming off of a weekend that saw Wisconsin take down No. 19 Northwestern, in one of the biggest wins in program history, and then fall to No. 28 Illinois in a disappointing showing, the Badgers sit in second place in the Big Ten. Michigan State has had a rough season thus far.

Doubles win streak comes to an end, Wisconsin Badgers fall to Illinois Fighting Illini

After putting the entirety of the Big Ten on notice by beating No. 19-ranked Northwestern Friday, Wisconsin dropped its first conference match of the season in a Sunday matinee against No. 28 Illinois in Madison. All season long the Badgers have been able to rely on their doubles rotation to grab the doubles point, without fail, for 15 straight matches.

Hungry Badgers' men's tennis team chomping at the bit to begin conference play

Wisconsin men’s tennis has come into 2017 locked and loaded. The young group, led by lone senior John Zordani, has racked up an impressive four wins in five matches this season—including two 7-0 sweeps of South Dakota State and Middle Tennessee. The Badgers’ only loss came last week against a strong Pennsylvania team, when they fell in hostile territory to the Quakers, 4-3.
