The UW System presidential search committee, which has faced criticism from all 13 campuses and Gov. Tony Evers for excluding faculty and staff, will consider non-academic applicants.



The UW System Board of Regents took another step toward mandating punishments  — suspension after two incidents and expulsion after three — for students who disrupt others’ free speech in the long road to amend System rules Friday.


UW System tuition freeze extended

The Republican-controlled Joint Finance Committee guaranteed an additional two years to the freeze on in-state undergraduate tuition in the UW System, but only granted less than half of Gov. Tony Evers’ proposed budget for the schools.



Advocacy groups are seeking higher youth involvement to help inform voters and increase overall voter turnout for the Supreme Court election.



Citing oversight structures, city assessor Michelle Drea said an ethics complaint alleging Mayor Paul Soglin influenced property evaluations did not have any validity.
