Tackling the animal cracker conundrum

This question of animal crackers being crackers or cookies is a rite of passage for all aspiring editors at the Cardinal, but it was even more so for me. Trying the crackers out and coming up with an answer, right or not, was a means to feeling less foreign in a foreign land.

The UC system needs to do better

Admired as the “public ivies,” the University of California school system has fortified their favoritism towards out-of-state applicants. To those high school seniors awaiting their soon-to-come admissions decisions, best of luck in the lottery pool.

Is there too much censorship on campus?

The proposed creation of the University of Austin has posed an issue for other universities, as the founding trustees believe that American universities are not providing their students with an adequate, fair education.

End construction on the Line 3 pipeline

The United States has a long history of imperialist policies that have resulted in the displacement of indigenous peoples. The United States must immediately stop construction of the Line 3 pipeline — and further, it should refuse to invest more money into infrastructure for nonrenewable energy sources.
