SSFC passes ASM budget at over $1.3M

The Student Services Finance Committee passed the Associated Students of Madison's internal budget of over 1.3 million dollars on Thursday, striking over $90,000 from the $100,000 ASM alumni training request.

Mining bill sparks protest

Hundreds of citizens from around the state of Wisconsin gathered on the Capitol steps Wednesday to protest the Gogebic Taconite Iron Mining Bill, which would ease regulations and make it easier for companies to mine iron ore.
