A dominant month of March has earned the UW men’s tennis team some well-deserved national recognition.

After missing their chance at qualifying for the ITA Nationals at a tournament in Tulsa last month, Carranza and Dodridge both knew that winning out at the ITA Regionals was their last shot.
This weekend the Wisconsin Badgers will continue their Big Ten road trip against Penn State Friday and No. 2 Ohio State Sunday. Wisconsin is coming off of a bittersweet weekend, in which they swept Michigan State, only to reverse roles the next day and get swept by No. 14 Michigan 4-0.
This weekend the Badgers head East to Michigan to face off against the Spartans on Saturday and the Wolverines on Sunday. Coming off of a weekend that saw Wisconsin take down No. 19 Northwestern, in one of the biggest wins in program history, and then fall to No. 28 Illinois in a disappointing showing, the Badgers sit in second place in the Big Ten. Michigan State has had a rough season thus far.
The No. 30 Wisconsin Badgers continued their undefeated start to Big Ten play Friday night as they upset the No. 19 Northwestern Wildcats 4-2, beating the Wildcats for the first time since 2011.
In head coach Danny Westerman’s first year at the helm in 2015, the Badgers managed to double the previous year’s win total with 14 victories, their best season in half a decade.
Friday, the No. 31 Wisconsin men’s tennis team (8-2) hosted its last two non-conference opponents in a double header. In the morning, the Badgers faced off against Eastern Illinois (2-9). They kept their remarkable undefeated doubles streak alive early on, as they took three courts at 6-1 a piece to preserve their streak.
This past weekend was a mixed bag for the Wisconsin men’s tennis team. Against the No. 43 Clemson Tigers (8-4 overall), the No. 31 Badgers (6-2) ran away with a 4-1 victory on Saturday.
