The Badgers came back from Iowa Saturday disappointed. After
dropping the game against the Hawkeyes 59-44, the Badgers assured
themselves a four-seed and a rematch with the fifth-seeded Indiana
Hoosiers Friday afternoon in Indianapolis, Ind. For a team that
seemed to have quickly disposed of any memories of their mid-year
slump to go on a three game winning streak, ending the regular
season losing by a combined 24 points in their final two games was
disheartening.

On the corner of West Washington Avenue and Park Street, a
4-foot-tall sign serves as a reminder of the flourishing, diverse

George W. Bush did something phenomenal last November. He won
one of the narrowest presidential elections in the nation's
history. At a loss for words, Franken slumped back into his couch
and watched the conservative media pop champagne and declare a
mandate. Franken saw that the fact was the guy who based his
platform on 'fear, smear and queers' had won by the skin of his
teeth.

recent push into the web too little too late? Can online gaming
bring Nintendo back to prominence in the home console

himself-has been ultimately affirmed by his suicide Sunday.

It happened again. After all the complaining, all the suggested
reform, all the talk about abolishing the Electoral College, for
the second straight presidential election, the nation is at a loss,
trying to figure out who our president will be. While it would have
been nice to decide on a clear winner, that has not happened. The
best we can hope is that the next president is decided in the
fairest way possible.

What a difference a couple of years make. A team that was a
Glenn Robinson 15-foot jumper away from the NBA Finals in 2000-'01,
on the brink of NBA supremacy, is now the rebuilding, revamped,
harmless Milwaukee Bucks team of 2003, picked by many to finish
dead last in the Eastern Conference in 2003-'04.
