“Bucky’s Tuition Promise,” was
a step in the right direction.

Deck Nine’s recently concluded “Life is Strange: Before the Storm” is one of those rare prequels that manages to surpass the original in every aspect. Despite being put at a million disadvantages, the final product is more succinct, emotionally impactful and LGBTQ+ inclusive than its predecessor. Overall, it’s better at being “Life is Strange” than the original “Life is Strange.”

Local restaurant patron Pruett Tencious was utterly disappointed when he found his Olive Garden waitress to be unimpressed by his comically exaggerated pronunciations of menu items. He’d hoped that his elementary understanding of the Italian language would’ve impressed the staff, despite the fact that Olive Garden is an entirely American franchise with no connection to what Mr. Tencious erroneously calls “la motherlanda”.

When The Daily Cardinal was born out of a little office on Henry Mall in 1892, our first editor in chief rode his horse down State Street to pick up the 400 printed issues for distribution. The staff was no more than a handful of students, and no one ever dreamed that you could tweet out a breaking news alert to readers in seconds.

After Thanksgiving “break,” which is just another excuse for professors to pile on the homework, comes everyone’s favorite time of year. And no, I’m not talking about holidays — although I wish I was. I’m talking about hell week, cram week, frantically-trying-to-pull-my-life-together week. Or, in a calmer sense, finals week.
