The relationship between a quarterback and his receivers is an
important one for the success of any football team. If a team's
signal caller and his pass catchers aren't on the same page it
slows the entire offense down, but if those players have that good
rapport, that ability to trust one another to make the right play
on the football field, the offense will run like a well-oiled
machine. Wisconsin head coach Brett Bielema must have
had that vital relationship in mind when the Badgers' brought
quarterback Russell Wilson in for an early June visit in hopes of
convincing the former All-ACC athlete to play his final year of
college football eligibility in Madison.

Recently, I re-watched the quality flick ""High Fidelity."" It's
one of those rare movies that I can watch perpetually without it
ever feeling stale. The movie follows a group of record store
employees who have a penchant for conversing in lists: top five
songs to play on a Monday morning; top five musical crimes
perpetrated by Stevie Wonder in the 80s and 90s; top five track
one, side ones—you get the idea. In this ""top five"" spirit, my
last column of the semester is a countdown of my top five favorite
movies. These aren't the five movies I think are the best for any
technical, artistic or cultural reasons. These are simply the
movies that make me love movies.

It was a Tuesday morning in September when everything began. It was
a day that was to change America forever. Soon, parents would see
their children off to war. Fathers would kiss their newborn
daughters goodbye, and some for the last time as they went to levy
justice on those who were responsible for murdering almost 3,000
Americans. For 10 years America paid a heavy price, as we sought to
extinguish any further threat to our safety. Then came
Abbottabad.

In high school, students are told their four years of education
will prepare them for the rigorous academia of college. For Alex
Giordano, this was not the case.

I was interning at a newspaper in Santa Barbara and a friend and I
needed sweet Fourth of July plans. My friend knew someone interning
with Google, so we stayed in San Jose for the weekend with computer
nerds and smoked a lot of weed. There was a two-day period when I
smoked so much weed I didn't say a word. This is what I remember:
There was a fire in Chinatown, a bowl of clam chowder in a bread
bowl and we couldn't see the fireworks through the fog.

The Wisconsin softball team proved they could hang with the top
dogs of the Big Ten this weekend, but fell short in both games
against second place Indiana, losing 4-3 in extra innings Saturday
and 6-3 Sunday.

If Elusive Parallelogram's newest release was as eclectic as its
cover suggests, I'd start my own grassroots campaign to get this
group a Grammy. I mean, pistols, money, mustaches AND politics? Oh
my! Unfortunately, the group must have exhausted their inspiration
in designing the packaging of Modern Splendor, because the
pearl in the middle of this paper oyster is more ""rough"" than a
diamond. Only a few tracks stand out, while the rest are certainly
listenable and may cause you to hum their melodies… for about five
minutes, until they suffer the same fate of old blink-182 filler
tracks: Lost and forgotten.

TUSCON, Ariz.— Said by many to be the trendy pick to be upset in
the second (formerly first) round of the NCAA Tournament, Wisconsin
came out like a team on a mission and shot their way to a 72-58 win
over 13 seed Belmont. The victory snaps a 2-game losing streak for
the Badgers and puts them one win away from a Regional
appearance.

The Wisconsin Film Festival, running March 30-April 3, offers 209
films this year, which can make ticket selection a daunting task.

I've picked a few intriguing films I'd recommend to best enjoy our
local film fest.
