University of Wisconsin-Madison students accounted for all 25 arrests at Camp Randall Stadium during Saturday’s football game against Middle Tennessee State, according to figures released by the University of Wisconsin Police Department (UWPD).
UW-Madison students typically comprise most — if not all — arrests, ejections and citations during football season, especially those for underage drinking.
At Saturday’s game, 33 of the 35 ejections recorded were UW-Madison students.
Additionally, 25 underage drinking citations were issued to the arrested students. Other reasons for ejection listed by UWPD last Saturday involved a disorderly patron, two intoxications, two seating issues and five alcohol-related ejections.
Last year’s second home game recorded 18 arrests, all involving UW–Madison students. In this year’s opener against Miami (Ohio), 20 arrests were made, 15 of them students.
Other responses included 20 first aid calls and seven paramedic calls. Four individuals registered blood alcohol levels of .20 or higher, and three people were transported to detox.
UWPD did not respond for comment by the time of publication.
