An individual reported a sexual assault that occurred in a west campus residence hall at the University of Wisconsin-Madison at approximately 1:00 a.m. Sunday, according to an email the university sent to students Tuesday.
The email said the victim and offender knew each other. The incident was not reported to the UW-Madison Police Department, and there is no active police investigation at this time.
