Kamala Harris to visit Wisconsin next week

Vice President Kamala Harris is expected to return to Wisconsin to tout job growth after recently visiting the state in January.

Vice President Kamala Harris will visit Madison next Wednesday to laud the Biden administration’s efforts toward job growth and apprenticeship programs ahead of the 2024 election.

Harris will be joined by acting Secretary of Labor Julie Su and will focus her speech on economic opportunities for Americans and her continued leadership as chair of the White House Task Force on Worker Organizing and Empowerment, according to a press release.

The Biden administration has made numerous campaign visits to Wisconsin in the past year as the state is expected to play a crucial role in the election.

In January, Harris visited Big Bend to kick off her nationwide “Fight for Reproductive Freedoms” tour. She also visited southeastern Wisconsin in August 2023 to tout broadband expansion and domestic job creation efforts.

Additionally, President Joe Biden visited Milwaukee in December, where he met with Black voters at the Wisconsin Black Chamber of Commerce and highlighted advancements made by the American Rescue Plan and Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.

First Lady Jill Biden praised the administration’s Cancer Moonshot initiative and met with public school educators in an Aug. 31 visit
