Man arrested for fifth OWI, crashing into traffic signal

A 36-year-old man allegedly crashed his car into a traffic signal at the corner of East Washington and North Ingersoll before driving away Saturday night, according to a Madison incident report.

Joshua Reed is being charged with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated, operating while suspended and hit-and-run. The car had significant damage to the left side and was riding on rims because the left two tires were popped.

Reed then drove to Darwin Drive on the north side, where he was found in it, according to the report. The debris found at the crash site matched Reed’s vehicle, despite him denying involvement in the crash.
