Tony Award winner to speak at semester’s first Distinguished Lecture Series

Award-winning dancer, choreographer, artistic director and writer Bill T. Jones is scheduled to speak at the first Distinguished Lecture Series of the semester Thursday at Memorial Union to discuss his creative process with students.

Jones is a celebrated member of the performing arts community and has won several awards throughout his career. He is the artistic director of New York Live Arts and co-founded and directs the Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company.

WUD Distinguished Lecture Series Committee and the WUD Performing Arts Committee are funding the lecture, which is free and open to the public.

The Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company will stay in Madison to perform at the Wisconsin Union Theater Saturday, which is a ticketed event.
