Madison man drives wrong way on West Gorham Street, attempts to avoid arrest

Madison police arrested a 27-year-old Madison man early Thursday morning after he drove the wrong way on West Gorham Street and continued to evade police after attempts to pull him over, according to a Madison Police Department report.

Amir Hudson was driving against traffic on the one-way street shortly after 2 a.m. Thursday when an MPD officer attempted to pull him over. Hudson continued driving for several blocks before finally pulling over for the officer, according to the report by MPD spokesperson Joel DeSpain.

Hudson was arrested on tentative charges of third offense drunken driving, resisting and obstructing arrest, fleeing and eluding police and driving against traffic, DeSpain’s report said.
