Professors to lecture on Constitution Day themes

Two University of Wisconsin-Madison professors are scheduled to discuss the U.S. Constitution Wednesday afternoon in honor of Constitution Day.

Political science professor Howard Schweber will discuss the goals set for the Constitution and whether they have been achieved in “Constitution Day 2014: Has the American Constitution Failed?,” according to a university release.

Schweber will speak 10-11 a.m. in the Wisconsin Idea Room of the Education Building on Bascom Hill.

Law professor Cecelia Klingele will later discuss how the Constitution impacts Americans’ everyday lives, according to a university release.

The presentation, titled “The Constitution and You: How the U.S. Constitution is Relevant in Our Everyday Lives,” will include lunch and take place from noon to 1 p.m. in room 3250 of the law building.
