Make Music Madison invites musicians and hosts to participate in summer festival

Make Music Madison invited musicians and hosts Friday to register for the second annual summer music celebration which will be held June 21.

Last year, 207 musicians performed during the MMM summer solstice at 103 different venues throughout Dane County, according to the release. Administrators are anticipating a larger turnout this year from musicians and hosts.

In order to register, musicians and hosts can create online accounts on the official website before following an instructional video assisting users throughout the registration process. The process is free of charge for any interested musician or venue owner, according to the release.

MMM administrators encourage musicians to take advantage of the festival to promote their music and provide an enjoyable experience for listeners. Hosts are also encouraged to showcase their locations as music-friendly environments as long as they are outdoor and open to the public. MMM administrators will provide hosts with city permits for public spaces, according to the release.
