The 300 Block of West Main Street located between South Henry Street and Washington Place will close beginning Friday at 7 a.m. until Saturday at the end of the work day, according to a Madison city news release.
J.P. Cullen and subcontractors are using the area for a construction project on 306 W. Main St. The contractors will assemble a tower crane in the area for the building plans.
All through-traffic will be closed except for local vehicle access to residences, parking structures and Washington Place on the 300 block of West Main Street. Vehicle access to these areas will be maintained from the west at all times.
Pedestrian traffic will continue at all times during the closure on the south side of West Main Street to access residences. The city encourages bicyclists and motorists to seek alternative routes during the closure to avoid delays in the area.
