City to close 300 block of West Mifflin Street next week due to construction

The 300 block of West Mifflin Street will be closed to bicyclist and motor vehicle traffic Monday through Wednesday to accommodate construction equipment, according to a city release.

The 300 block runs between North Broom and North Henry Streets. The north side of the West Mifflin Street area will remain open to pedestrians throughout the duration of the closure. However, the release encourages motorists to seek alternate travel routes.

The Kastenmeier U.S. Courthouse surface parking lot, The Overture Center for the Arts’s parking ramp, the AT&T Building Parking Garage and the Metropolitan Place Parking Garage will remain open to vehicles, according to the release. Access will be available from North Broom and West Mifflin Streets.

West Mifflin Street will completely re-open Thursday.
