Bicyclist collides with moped driver on East Campus Mall, transported to hospital

The Madison Fire Department transported a man in his 50s to the University of Wisconsin Hospital Tuesday morning after he sustained non life-threatening injuries in a collision with a moped outside Lucky Apartments on University Avenue, according to MFD spokesperson Lori Wirth.

Wirth said the woman driving the moped also suffered “minor injuries,” but she did not require medical attention following the accident, which occurred at approximately 10:42 a.m. near the intersection of East Campus Mall and University Avenue.
