300 block of North Frances Street will be closed Thursday and Friday

The 300 block of North Frances Street, the section connecting University Avenue and West Johnson Street, will be closed from approximately 7 a.m. Thursday until Friday afternoon to accommodate construction, according to a city news release.

Stevens Construction Corporation will block the street to vehicle and bicycle traffic to set up construction equipment. According to the release, pedestrians will be able to use the walkway on the west side of the street, adjacent to the Fluno Center.

The release also said northern access to the Fluno Center parking ramp and southern access to the UW Parking Ramp 43 will remain open. Madison Metro bus routes will not be affected by the closure.
