The International Academic Programs office at the University of Wisconsin-Madison announced Wednesday it will offer a new scholarship program to encourage more students to study abroad.
The scholarships start at $2,500 for students studying abroad in an IAP program. Upon returning to UW-Madison, the recipients are required to create a project to share their experiences from abroad with the university and surrounding community.
Students’ projects could include helping with study abroad information sessions, creating a video, writing an article or participating in university or local events, according to a statement released by the university.
Students who plan to study abroad during summer or fall 2013, or the academic year 2013-'14 are eligible for the new scholarship program. Applications must be submitted by March 1.
More information about the scholarship program can be found on the IAP Scholars website.
