The three men involved in the Jan. 1 fight and shooting at Frida's Mexican Grill on State Street were charged with battery Thursday, according to a report from the Wisconsin State Journal.
One of the men, Dominique R. Hale, 24, was also charged with reckless endangerment and possession of a firearm by a felon.
Hale was incarcerated in 2009 for his role in a Cottage Grove kidnapping and beating in 2007. His remaining sentence was converted to extended supervision after his release last October in accordance with the ruling of a Dane County judge, the State Journal reports.
A witness of the Frida's fight identified the three men from photographs.
Frida's closed following the incident, in which shots were fired on the bar's dance floor. Prior to the fight, the establishment also faced potential eviction and liquor license restrictions.
