Legislators looking to make 12/12/12 ‘Aaron Rodgers Day’ in Wisconsin

Green Bay Packers fans may soon have another excuse for beer, cheese and hero worship next winter, as a memo that would make Dec. 12, 2012 ‘Aaron Rodgers Day’ is circulating Wisconsin’s legislature.

Rep. Garey Bies’, R-Sister Bay, bill would recognize Rodgers’ leadership and accomplishments as quarterback for the Green Bay Packers.

Rodgers became the first quarterback in NFL history to throw for over 4,000 yards in his first two seasons, was named Most Valuable Player of Super Bowl XLV, and is actively involved in the organization Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer.

Bies originally circulated the memo this past December, but has since lost the original list of cosponsors. He is circulating the bill again and looking for cosponsors.
